PARISH PICNIC UPDATE: Fr. William J. Kummer, pastor, has announced, at the recommendation of the pastoral council, the annual parish picnic will be held in the fall, instead of the summer, because of the unavailability of Price's Pond on the regular date in the summer. The picnic will be held on September 29, St. Michael Day, to kick off the parish sesquicentennial celebration.
NEW SCHOOL PRINCIPAL NAMED: Mrs. Amy L. Weidner will become principal of St. Michael Catholic School, beginning July 1, 2012. Mrs. Weidner will replace Ms. Trudy Nawara, principal for the past 15 years who is retiring. Mrs. Weidner, 44, comes to St. Michael with 20 years of experience in Education. For the past three years she has served as principal of St. John Evangelist Elementary School in Goshen, Ind. Mrs. Weidner resides in Plymouth with her husband, Craig and two children, Cameron, 10 and Caden, 9, both students at St. Michael. Mrs. Weidner’s father was a student of St. Michael in the 1940’s and she and her sister attended also.
HOLY CREPES!: The St. Michael Youth Group will be serving up crepes after the 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Masses with a variety of fillings and toppings, along with drinks. Free willing offering supports "At Home Mission," June 29-July 1. Registration forms will be available for the mission.
